iSingle-crystal silicon. Usually more watts per square foot than older polycrystalline panels, so it can fit more power on a limited roof. Compare each panel's rated efficiency.
iOlder multi-crystal silicon technology. Typically needs more roof area for the same watts than modern monocrystalline panels; a low price may still make it worthwhile.
iCollects light from the back too. Raised ground mounts over reflective surfaces can gain output; a flush roof usually offers much less rear light. Rear gain is not included in the fit wattage.
iA different, often lower-efficiency technology that usually takes more area for the same nameplate watts. Its heat and low-light behavior varies by model; compare the actual sheet.
iModern silicon contact technology replacing many PERC designs. It can deliver more watts per square foot and lower losses, but the model's rated efficiency and degradation warranty decide the real benefit.
iMature, older mainstream silicon-cell design. Modern TOPCon or HJT panels often offer higher efficiency, so PERC may need more area for equal power; compare price per installed watt.
iModern silicon wafer type often used in TOPCon and HJT panels. It can support higher efficiency and lower light-induced degradation than older p-type designs; verify the model's warranty.
iModern heterojunction cells can offer high efficiency and a favorable hot-weather power coefficient. Check the actual watts per square foot, temperature coefficient, and price.
iSmaller cell halves lower internal resistive losses and may improve partial-shade behavior. The actual gain depends on the module's wiring and layout.
iGlass replaces the rear plastic backsheet. It can improve protection and enable bifacial light collection, but usually adds weight; check roof loading and mounting instructions.
iPrimarily an appearance choice for visible roofs. It does not itself increase output; compare the rated watts, dimensions, and temperature coefficient.
